The Religion I chose.

In my last blog (The Definition of Religion), I defined religion based on my understanding, research, and experience. I am positive that no one can live without a religion or God, and everyone have beliefs based on what they can accept, but this doesn't mean that the idea isn't one, it is exactly like a novel of an unknown Author that all people read but each one understand it in a different way, among these people there are a few who can Identify the author and gives an acceptable understanding to a large group of people.

So who is the author?

Some identifiers say he had never been existed and the book came by itself through a long process of formation took million of years, and only our understanding can give us the answers that we need. looks an interesting theory and making a lot of sense, but I simply rejected it because not everyone can make the same understanding that the "identifiers" made, also all the cases built on this scenario have failed on the large scale groupings, and the most thing made me reject this understanding is making me under submission to people like me even if they were extra genius.

Other identifiers stated that an honored human fought for freedom and just, who wrote the book and I should believe in him as the one who can save me from all of my bad actions and evil desires I have done. But I see a lot of drama around this understanding and the strict commitment to the "identifiers" made me reject this scenario too!

I'm not going to speak about the understanding of multiple authors, because I have always believed the Idea/Author is One. Also I cannot identify the author by myself because the novel is just too long and very deep, complicated and perfect in a way I can never give a prediction who wrote it!

But I find myself so comfortable with the understanding that gave me the freedom to think about the author the way I want but in a way makes me respect myself , and to be respected i have to be a follower of great values , I thought what is the value that is greater than Mercy , Pride , Patience , Justice …? , and the values can overreach 99 different values. and about the identifier who gave me this understanding, he denied himself as an author, he has just mentioned that he is a follower to the author and a messenger to him and he proved that because his act extended for hundreds of years until now, which is perfectly matching the novel's events, and the most thing made me accept this understanding that it liberated me from the fellowship of "Identifiers" to the fellowship of the Value.. To the Idea... to the Author!

Namely , I chose Islam as an understanding to the life and its purpose , I chose the concept of God which is free from any fellowship to any objects or humans , and chose Prophet Muhammad as the perfect word of God and the absolute perfect example of a human being to follow , even if it doesn't seem true to many people !

Even though I was born as a Muslim , I kept researching about the true meaning of this path and I have tried to compare it to other paths maybe I would find something looks more perfect than Islam however , I failed and with every time I try I explore a new dimension of Islam .

For example the arguments about the Islamic pilgrim (Hajj) as a pagan ritual just like any religion else made me truly confuse , but when I made my study about the Hajj I have discovered that the all the rituals of the Hajj is symbolic , for example the circumambulation around the black box (Kabba) is only a symbol of unity on God's word of peace and respect among all Muslim as there's no difference between any of the Muslims except in showing respect to God's will which all about saving peace . While stoning the column which represents the Satan is a symbol of unity between all Muslims in stop the evil from spreading to them or to everyone!

I know that the fact maybe shows the total reverse of what I am saying , but it is all back to Muslims' understanding to the book and how far they have applied what they understand . But it wasn't according to what the book said.

After all it is my choice which gave me the most convincing answers and freed my will from doubts. And it doesn't mean that I show myself better than anyone because finally I don't care about what people think about what I believe , and I know that everyone at the end of the day will have their own choice and they will be totally responsible about in this life or the next !

The Definition of Religion.

Are you RELIGIOUS ?

I believe everyone is asked this question on many occasions, especially when someone shows his views which look somehow classical or strange to others. Like here in Egypt when someone growing his beard, people start to ask him: "Are you religious?". Also according to this question some people define others as good or bad, ignorant or hateful , etc.. . And as a matter of fact many violent actions were committed in the name of religion , which make people who are interested in science and arts don't believe in religion or a God in a way that looks challenging and sometimes hateful to the extent of extremism .

So, what does the Religion means? , so we can judge whether it is good or evil, truth or a lie, ignorant or useful, etc... .

According to the web dictionary Religion is: "A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs". And also according to Merriam-Webster's dictionary Religion is: "the service and worship of God or the supernatural; commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance ". To me I have considered Religion as following a certain religion of the main three : (Judaism , Christianity or Islam), but this way of understanding made me confuse sometimes because it made me question what if I made a wrong choice? , how far it is going to mess up with my life in this life or the next?. Also, what about the other people who don't follow what I believe? , they seem very nice people and they want to practice their beliefs the same way I want to practice my belief!

But if you look more closer to any Religion, you will find the supernatural power as God is mention in one same pattern, while the Rest of what religion calls for is about people's activity among each other and between them and God. However many people don't follow their religion to the letter , and many of them ignores what their faith is stating and just keep the names and sometimes leave the whole subject of the religion he follows in particular or any religion in general . On the other side, people who stick to their religion are more closed to each other and they don't prefer to deal with anyone who doesn't believe in the same thing they believe. But very few people who could solve the problem, they followed what they believed and achieved unity among all the people, and you can find them within every religion!

In my opinion, the problem was never about God or the name of the religion, it is all about what the people want. Religion can be used to justify hate, violence, disrespecting to any group of people, exactly like the fork you can use to eat or to kill. And the definitions mentioned about religion earlier are not enough, because it will lead you to the assumption that religion was made by people to control people.

I consider Religion is the point of reference you put for yourself in everything you do or say or even think , they way you dress up is a religion , the way you eat is a religion , the way you connect to your creator is a religion , they way you treat people is a religion etc… .Subsequently the major and the minor Religions from my opinion are a collection of these religions which refers itself to a point of reference which is the belief in God way or another. So, I consider not only Monotheism faiths are Religions, but also polytheism , Atheism and Agnosticism are Religions too !

The question I believe that me and everyone should ask is, what is the religion among all of these religions can define us as noble human beings?!!

I will answer this question based on my experience and the knowledge I have gained so far, in my next blog!

V for Libertà !

I watched the movie "V for Vendetta" a couple of days ago , it was one of the good movies i have seen in since the year 2000 , and i guess many of who will read this blog have already watched it .

The movie is dealing with the issue of the freedoms in the new state of England as the new secular order which is strictly controls people just to follow the regime as it is inspired form God which doesn't allow any of the aliens (muslims and homosexuals as examples) to exist , in addition to restricting any kind of creative actions , like arts music etc .. , and what only the Councillor allows people shall follow .

What i liked the most about this movie , the view points of the screen players ( The wachowski bothers , the creators of "The Matrix" trilogy ) which separated between the true relation of people with God , from the politics which used religion as an unexplained reason to justify limitation of people freedoms in general .

But as i was watching i noticed things which it made the same think realize that freedom is nothing but to limit yourself to make the choices should be done , when the second 5th of November came all the English people went out as one person (the character of V) , leaving everything behind and seeking salvation from oppression and brutality only , the didn't divide themselves into parties according to religion or sexual orientation .

So , what is the value or Idea that it can unite all people regardless to their backgrounds on one true understanding for freedom ? , this question is asked because the movie didn't answer it clearly as the character V said "let them decide what they want " which is see doesn't make any sense , because in the minute people will all take off their masks (which is a true fellowship to V in everything he will say or do) , they will fight each other until the strongest will come out to rule the people again through what he believes , which will bring them back to the same situation they have been before !

After all this movie was a true approach for understanding the freedom issue and the human rights , what i didn't like about this movie is the motive behind the 5th of November revolution which was revenge (vendetta) for the crimes which has been done to the people , not for achieving the Idea which wasn't mentioned what it is !!

The Definition of Freedom !

what is freedom ?
It has always been a source of confusion to me , because there is always a boarders for your dreams most of all is death !
what made my confusion increase from experience , whenever i apply the common definition of freedom (to do what i want to do ), i find myself having what it doesn't belong to me !
Also , countries who are promoting for freedom (mostly the U.S and E.U) are the most countries responsible for oppression , wars , and poverty all over the globe . and mostly they promoting for alien traditions for about 75% of the globe such as the sexual freedom , which is causing nothing but chaos , which is serving the interests of the 1st world countries .
freedom meaning varies from person to another , from a belief to another , etc ;
for example according to "the new freedom in movies and novels" ; freedom is boldness and lack of modesty . Also in "the freedom of the city" ; freedom is The right of enjoying all of the privileges of membership or citizenship .
If we take these two definitions as two examples of freedom , can they act together without conflict ? can everyone have these types of freedom equally ?!
The experiment through time showed the total opposite !
for example , the sexual revolution which rose up in the seventies brought more troubles for both genders , rates of rape crimes increase every year since , the pornographic industry expanded year after year as the new age of women slavery and prostitution .
so , where is the freedom now ?
Is the freedom where the money is ?
Is the freedom where the power is ?
Is the freedom just to say no or yes ?
I see freedom now as a first result from experience is "The ability to make the choice which will not take any of people's rights , and will not harming my self physically , emotionally or spiritually as well" .

Identifying myself !

I came to this life like any child all his interests to have a friend to play with , or to spend a good time with family , until i went to public school .

There i used to be asked mainly one question "what's your name ?" , at the beginning i was hesitating in saying it as i didn't say my name except few times before school, few weeks after i was saying my name without hesitation .

The same thing happened with knowing my faith and nationality , when i started to have religion and geography classes .

now i'm thinking is this really the truth ?!

am i really "Ahmad" / "The most praised" ?

am i really Egyptian ? in other words ; did i made something make me deserve the title of "Egyptian" ?

am i really a Muslim / submitter to the absolute God , peaceful with everyone ?

I found out that names and titles isn't the issue , but actions are what define me as a human , not the names or the looks .

The few moments when i helped people , and people thanked me i knew that i'm "Ahmad" that day !

The few moments i spent between the hands of God asking him help and guidance through the good times , and the hard one , i knew that i'm a Muslim that moment !

The few moments i spent to help the poor in my neighborhood , i knew that i am an "Egyptian" that day !

But as i said they were only few moments , which need to be extended to days and years to make me feel alive !

Because being alive is to be identified , otherwise i'm definitely dead !!!
